About the Journal

The Uganda Higher Education Review is a journal for the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE), the Regulatory Agency of Higher Education Training in Uganda. This is an internationally recognized Journal with ISSN 1813-2243 (in print) and 2958-5473 (in electronic)

The journal provides a visible outlet for definitive articles that discuss the theory, practice and policies relating to the role, development, management and improvement of Higher Education from a National, Regional and International view point. The journal provides a platform for scholars, researchers and Higher Education Institutions to contribute to scholarly debate through the publication of quality peer-reviewed articles.

The objective of the journal is to publish original research on higher education. The primary aim of this journal is the dissemination of important research work to promote, a sustainable, accessible and quality higher education that is relevant for society transformation.

The Journal is published twice a year, in the months of May and September. It is recognised as a premier Higher Education Research publication with wide readership and stakeholder consultation in the higher education subsector in Uganda and the Region.

Through its editorial policy, the Journal is committed to publication of quality articles from both experienced and early career researchers. The ultimate focus of the Higher Education Review Journal is to guide contributors to disseminate quality papers through ensuring relevant, fair and penetrating peer/expert reviews and timely relay of feedback.

Scope and Focus
The Uganda Higher Education Review is a broad-based journal that covers all aspects on higher education. Papers containing new ideas, creative approaches and/or innovative applications are welcome. Papers that discuss the theory, practice and policies relating to the role, development, management and improvement of Higher Education from national, regional and international view point are sought.
